Two (2) League Locations:
Two Fall League locations set for 2010 in St. John and Portage
The DK High School Fall Wood Bat League over the past 2 years has featured players from 24 high schools across Indiana and Illinois. In 2010, the DK Fall League has expanded with a second location to account for the high volume of players that want to participate. The DK WEST LEAGUE plays at the beautiful Heartland Park in St. John, IN while the newly added DK EAST LEAGUE will be played at Portage High School. Players may choose to sign up for the league of their choice. (This decision will most likely be dependent on where the player lives and which location makes for an easier drive)
Training Benefits!
- All players in both leagues will be given a batting cage membership to Diamond Kings (valid during league play).
- Team coaches will be Diamond Kings instructors or College and/or High School coaches.
2010 League Highlights!
DK Leagues combine Competition with Player Development
Our staff is dedicated to providing a clean, competitive atmosphere where players can work on the fundamentals of baseball, learn more about themselves as a player, and get the opportunity to develop new skills that will help them reach the next level in their game.
- Teams will play 8 regular season games. An All-Star game will take place at the end of the season @ U.S. Steel Yard, home of the Gary Railcats Professional Baseball Club (DK East All Stars vs. DK West All Stars)
- Each player will receive a team dri-fit shirt & fitted hat.
- Players can bring their own wood bat. Team wood bats will be available for use and provided by Hoosier Bat Co.
- Games will have a 1:45 time limit or 6 innings. High School rules enforced.
- The league kicks off with our DK Skills Combine sponsored by Showcase U and discuss how colleges recruit. This Skills Combine will take place after the mandatory meeting for players and parents.

Mandatory Meeting for Players and Parents
In this meeting we will announce the team rosters and schedule, introduce coaching staff, league sponsors, and get uniform tops and hats. We will also talk about college recruiting with Showcase U founder Jake Chapman and how to hit with wood bats with Hoosier Bat Co.

DK WEST (St. John): August 21st, 2010 at 1:00pm at Heartland Park (10600 White Oak Ave., St. John, IN 46311)

DK EAST (Portage): August 28th, 2010 at 1:00pm at Portage High School (6450 U.S. 6, Portage, IN 46368)
Immediately following this meeting, Showcase U founder, Jake Chapman (8 year professional baseball player), will take all players through our DK Skills Combine where individual players will run the 60, throw from positions, and Jake will talk about what colleges look for in a baseball player.
Regular Season games start at 9:00am and end by 4:45pm on Sundays
Our league follows all IHSAA rules. (This rule states no more than 5 players from the same school team can play on the same roster after August 1st) All of our team rosters are carefully set to obey and not break this rule.

DK WEST (St. John) runs on Sundays, August 22nd - October 10th. (Rainouts will be made up on Saturdays)

DK EAST (Portage) runs on Sundays, August 29th - October 17th (Rainouts will be made up on Saturdays)
